    3. Wolfe County News - April 29, 1959 MRS. BRUCE ROSE PASSES MONDAY Mrs. Betty Christine Rose, 72, died Monday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at her home at Helechawa following a long illness. She was a member of the Daysboro Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Rose of Helechawa; two sons, Fred and Eugene Rose of West Liberty; three daughters, Evelyn Allen, Lexington; Mrs. Waldean Gullett of Campton and Betty Bruce Rose at home; one brother. W.H. Shackelford of Vancleve and one sister, Mrs. Stella Ely of Gilmore. Funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 29 at Daysboro Christian Church with the Rev. Willie Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Hazel Green Cemetery with the B.F. Porter and Son Funeral Home in charge. Carole Note: I believe that Betty was the daughter of William Sanford Shackelford and Zerilda Ann Johnson of Johnson Fork, and grand daughter of Greenberry Shackelford and Elizabeth Puckett.
