Wolfe County News - July 1, 1959 A.J. ALLEN, 68 DIES IN FLORIDA Alford James Allen, 68, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jewel Johnson of North Miami, Fla. on June 20. He was a son of the late Ferris and Nancy Allen of Wolfe County. Survivors include two sons, Arlyn Allen, Campton, and Buford Allen of Middletown, Ohio; three daughters Mrs. Jewel Johnson, North Miami, Fla., Mrs. Marie Limon, Rector, Ark., and Vernie Miers, Hialeah, Fla., three sisters, Miss Oma Allen of Middletown, Ohio, Mrs. Jettie Copeland of Ashland and Mrs. Pruda Colliver of Mt. Sterling, and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. James B. Pinkley at the Bear Pen Community Church on Friday, June 26. Burial was in the White Cemetery with B.F. Porter & Son in charge of arrangements. Carole
