Wolfe County News - June 20, 1962 HENRY CLAY KIDD DIES AT VORTEX Henry Clay Kidd, 66, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday at his home at Vortex afer suffering a heart attack. A native of Wolfe County, he was a member of the Church of God. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Orlene Kidd; a son, Charlie Kidd, Campton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. John Stone, Campton, Rt. 1; two brothers, John Kidd, Hazel Green and Dewey Kidd, Campton Rt. 1; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Elkins, Bethany, Mrs. Carrie Childers and Hurlie Elkins, Campton, Rt. 1, Mrs. Susie Lyle, Middletown, Ohio; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Votex Church of God by the Rev. Omer Spencer. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery with the Porter and Son Funeral Home in charge. Carole
