Wolfe County News - July 1, 1959 J.S. TAULBEE, 89 DIES AT STANTON James Sherman Taulbee, 89 retired farmer and merchant, died unexpectledly of a heart attack at his home at Stanton early June 27. He was a native of Wolfe county and a member of the Cane Creek Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Taulbee, Stanton; three daughters, Mrs. Nannie Tewart of Cincinnati, Mrs. Dorothy Hoffman, Mt. Summit, Ind., and Mrs. Mila Combs of Owensboro; three sons, Roscoe and Clifford Taulbee of Flat, and Oscar Taulbee of Owensboro; two brothers, Willis Taulbee of Wisconsin and Mort Taulbee of Mary, Ky.; three sisters, Mrs. Letha Terrill, Mrs. Edith Amburgy and Mrs. Julia Allen, all of Campton, and six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Stanton Christian Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Foster officiating. Burial was in the Evans cemetery at Campton with Hearne Funeral Home in charge.
