Wolfe County News - Oct. 31, 1962 HAZEL GREEN NATIVE PASSES Ollie J. Blankenship, 65 of 5333 Collidge Avenue, Sciotoville, O., died Sunday, Oct. 21, at 1:56 p.m at his residence. He had been ill several years. Born Oct. 5, 1897 at Hazel Green he was a son of the late Hiram and Jane Long Blankenship. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dora Reed Blankenship; three daughters, Mrs. Arnold Boggs and Mrs. Helen Lee Boysel, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Donna Jane Gilbert, Columbus, Ohio; a son Roy Blankenship, of Pomeroy, Ohio; three brothers, Noah of Piketon, Ohio; Bruce of Hazel Green; and Elva of Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. John Coldiron and Mrs. Luther Oldfield both of Hazel Green. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother, and a sister. Mr. Blankenship was a member of the Sciotoville Freewill Baptist Church, and the Masonic Lodge at Hazel Green. Funeral services were conducted at the church with Rev. Clarence Conway officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park under the direction of Gill Funeral Home.
