Wolfe County News - March 1960 COURTNEY TOLSON DIES IN HOSPITAL Courtney A. Tolson, 70, died at the Good Samaritan Hosptial, Lexington at 10:40 Thursday, March 3. He was a member of the Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tolson; four sons, William P. Tolson, Franklin, Ohio, Fred Tolson of Phoenix, Arizona, Porter Tolson and Emmerson Tolson, both of Middletown, Ohio; five daughters, Mrs. Maxine Wilson, Mrs. Garnet Neal, Mrs. Opal Bolin and Mrs. Ada Shacakelford of Middletown, Ohio, and Mrs. _____Peck, Carlisle, Ohio; one brother, John W. Tolson of Germantown, Ohio and two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Pelfrey and Mrs. Roey Spencer, Campton. Services were held at the Rogers Church of God Sunday. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery. Rev. Lump Osborne and Rev. Omer Spencer officiated. Special music was by Rev. and Mrs. Verne Kirby. Pallbearers were Clayton Peck, Lonnie Spencer, Arville Spencer, Lloyd Shackelford, Paul Bolin and Henry Wilson. Arrangements were under the direction of B.F. Porter & Son Funeral Home, Campton. Carole
