Wolfe County News - March 1963 MARCH 22 RITES FOR ALEXANDER Daniel Glen Alexander, 23, a well known Campton barber, was instantly killed in an automobile accident at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, near West Liberty. The accident occured about one mile over the Morgan County line as he was returning home from visiting friends in Morehead. The car, a new Ford convertible he was driving, left Highway 7 and crashed into the headwall of a culvert. Colin Halcombs, passenger in the car, escaped with minor cuts and bruises. Danny, as he was known to his many friends and relatives, is survived by his mother, Mrs. Winnie Alexander of Campton and one brother, Jimmy, at home, and by his grandfather, Frank Alexander of Campton. Several aunts and uncles survive. Funeral services were conducted at the Campton Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, with Rev. J. Edward Cunningham and Rev. Jeff Burton officiating. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery, Campton. Shackelford's Funeral Home made arrangements. Pallbearers were Rex Ingram, G.T. Sewell, Colin Halcomb, Dany Cox, Azel Patrick, Steve Rose, Jr., Butch Harris, Ernie Tyra and Rudene Taulbee. Carole into the headwall
