    3. Wolfe County News - April 1952 FUNERAL RITES IN POWELL FOR MRS. D. CREECH Committal services for Mrs. Caroline Creech wife of the Rev. Don Creech former pastor of the Morris Creek Baptist Church were held Sunday afternoon, April 20 in the Stanton Cemetery. She was returned here from Deputy, Indiana, where she and Bro Creech were living at the time of her passing on Saturday, April 19. Formal funeral rites will be held the fourth Sunday in August at the Memorial Meeting of the Missionary Baptist Church of Morris Creek. Mrs. Creech was born in Breathitt County, a daughter of Wesley and Armenia Miller Trent, on March 23, 1868. At the age of 18 she was united in holy wedlock with Don Creech at the old Bethel Church in Wolfe County. On January 27 of this year, the Rev. and Mrs. Creech celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary. They moved to Powell County in 1920 and only a short while ago they moved from Morris Creek to Deputy, Indiana. Fourteen children were born to the union of Caroline and Don Creech, half of whom survive in addition to Bro Creech. They are: Three daughters, Oma Abner, Stanton, Nancy Brewer, Campton and Savannah Hatton, Versailles, four sons, Liberty Creech and Alfred Creech, both of Deputy, Indiana, Wesley Creech, West Bend and Elijah Creech, Newport.
