Wolfe County News - March 29, 1961 MAGGIE ELKINS IS CLAIMED THURSDAY Mrs. Maggie Elkins, 68, Campton, Rt. 1, widow of the late John Elkins, died at 7 a.m. Thursday, March 23, after a long illness. A native of Magoffin County, she was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, James F. Elkins, Campton, Route 1; three daughters, Mrs. Seward Ferguson and Mrs. Elmer Neff, both of Campton, Route 1, and Mrs. C.M. Lawson, Clay City; a brother, Noah Anderson, Jackson; a sister, Mrs. James Lawson, Pittsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25 in Rose Chapel by Rev. Charlie Rose. Burial was in the Elkins Cemetery. Active pall bearers were Seward Ferguson, C.M. Lawson, Elmer Neff, Melvin Profitt, Kennon Taulbee, James Little, Clayton Hall, Bill Crawford, Howard Wilson, Jr., Bill Little and Asa Little. Carole
