Wolfe County News - Nov. 5, 1958 DOUBLE FUNERAL SUNDAY FOR AGED DAYSBORO PAIR Double funeral rites were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Grassy Lick Church for an elderly Daysboro couple who died on following days. Taylor Long, 78, died at his home Thursday, Oct. 23, after an illness of 10 years, and Mrs. Long died the next night. Mrs. Long, 74, had been in ill health. He was the son of Fence long and Jane Robison. The couple is survived by three children; Sylvia Brewer of West LIberty; Mary Ruth Phipps of Hazel Green, and Fred Long of Daysboro. Mr. Long also is survived by two sisters, Aldonia Montgomery of Osborne, Kansas, and Lennie Moore of Topeka Kansas. Other survivors of Mrs. Long, who was the former Flora Sheets, include the following brothers and sisters; T.F. Sheets and Harve Sheets of West Liberty; Irvin Sheets of Indiana; Rosa Bell Carpenter of Cox; Fannie Coffee of Big Rock, Tenn., and Mrs. Walter Farmers of Bluefield, W.Va. ten grandchildren survive. Officiating at the rites were Rev. Joe Blevins and Rev. Elijah Smith. Burial was in Coffey cemetery at Grassy Creek under direction of Herald and Riggs Funeral Home. Carole
