Wolfe County News - April 1963 EDWARD LEWIS DIES APRIL 2ND Edward M. Lewis, 83, 1809 South 14th St. Lawrenceville, Ill., died at his home April 2 after a years's illness. He was a retired farmer. He was born Oct. 11, 1879 in Menifee County, KY. He was a member of the First Church of God and Golden Age Club. Surviving are his wife, Bertha; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bryant of Rogers, and Miss Laura Lewis, at home; six sons, William L. and Dallas H., both of St. Louis, Mo., John L. of Flat Rock, Herman of Pontiac, Mich., Otha of Rogers, and Roy of Lawrenceville; one sister, Mrs. Flora B. Spyshalski of Lawrenceville; 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Lawrenceville. The body was brought ot the Rogers Baptist Church and a service was conducted by Rev. Verne kirby on April 5. He was buried at the Rogers Cemetery. Carole
