    3. Wolfe County News - Oct. 7, 1959 MRS. LETHA ROSE WELLS, daughter of the late James and Rachel Brown Rose, born on Stillwater, Wolfe County, Kentucky, Oct. 15, 1892 died on Oct. 2, 1959 in Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 13 days. She had been a Christian for forty years and was a member of the Church of God in Wolfe County. She was a graduate of Wolfe County High School and Lees Junior College at Jackson and attended Kentucky Wesleyan College at Winchester and had special teachers training in the University of Kentucky. She taught in the public schools of Wolfe County for thirty years and retired because of ill health. She was united in marriage on April 6, 1910 to David Wells who died June 10, 1950. She is survived by three sons, Lovell, James and Charles Wells, all of Dayton, Ohio; and one daughter, Mrs. Lorna Ratliff of Eldorado, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Emma Rose Cartwright of Princeton, KY and two brothers Jess Rose, Middletown, Ohio and Rev. Charlie Rose of Hazel Green and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were held at Price's Creek Church of the Brethren, West Manchester, O., Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Northcutt, pastor of the First Church of God, Eaton, Ohio, officiating. Michael Funeral arrangements. Burial was in the Monroe Cemetery beside her late husband.
