Wolfe County News - Feb. 28, 1962 JOHN P. BUSH DIES OF HEART ATTACK John P. Bush, 76, died of a heart attack about 2 p.m. Thursday at his home near Zachariah. Bush had apparently been burning grass and brush near his home. When a neighbor observed that the fire had burned over a large area, he investigated and found Bush dead on the ground not far from his home. He was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church, Torrent lodge No. 711, Free and Accepted Masons, and Royal Arch Masonic Order. He organized the Leeco Fish and Game Club. A native of Wolfe County, he had lived in the Torrent-Zachariah area his entire life. Survivors are four sons, Warren K. Bush, Indianapolis, Ind., Angus M. Bush, U.S. Army stationed in France, Marvin D. Bush, Ligoner, Ind., and Glenn L. Bush, U.S. Air Force, Denver, Colo., a brother, Edd Bush, Zachariah, two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Adams, Leeco, and Mrs. Celia Holden, Dayton, Ohio and three grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Pine Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Willard Brewer on Sunday at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Bush Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers.
