Wolfe County News - March 27, 1957 LENGTHY ILLNESS CLAIMS LIFE OF MAGGIE WELLS Mrs. Maggie Cundiff Wells, age 70, died Tuesday, March 19th at her home at Landsaw after a long illness. She was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, M.H. Wells; six daughters, Mrs. Nellie Combs, Landsaw; Mrs. Callie Walters, Springfield, O., Mrs. Maude Combs, Hazard; Mrs. Nancy Curry, Nevada, Mo.: Mrs. Margaret Walls, Chester, Pa., and Mrs. Maxine Vires, London, KY; also three sons, S.Sgt. Willard Wells, Ft. Stewart, Ga.: Emmett Wells, Royal Oak, Mich., and Ollie Wells, Detroit, Mich.; six brothers, Lige and Offitt Cundiff, Detroit; Roy Cundiff, Harlan; Reece, Elkatawa; Kash and Ben, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Gillium, Butler, Pa., and Mrs. Pam Vanetti, Tenn; 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, at Daysboro Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Strong officiating, assisted by Rev. Ike Gabbard. Burial was in the Rose Cemetery, Landsaw, in charge of Hearne Funeral Home. Carole Note: Was Margaret a Walls or Walters??
