Wolfe County News - April 17, 1957 WOLFE NATIVE DIES IN IDAHO AT AGE OF 82 Mrs. Sarah Allen, who was born in Wolfe County at Torrent, March 7, 1875, died at her home in Ahsahka, Idaho on Monday, April 1, at the age of 82. She had been a resident of Clearwater Valley and the prairie for 56 years. A farm resident of the Wells Branch and Teaken areas, she remembered fording the Clearwater near her present home on horseback long before there was a ferry built across the river. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bush of Torrent, KY. She had married Eliza Chambers, after his death in 1938 she later married George H. Allen, who survives her. She is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Scott Smith, of Ahsahka, Idaho; and four nephews, Paul and Clarence Bush, Dayton, Ohio; Clay Bush, Zachariah; and John Bush, Torrent. Funeral services were directed by Gilbert Chapel on April 5th at 10:00 a.m. and burial was in the Normal Hill Cemetery at Lewiston, Idaho. Rev. O.L. Baker of Orfino Church of God and Douglas Emery of the Ahsahka Community Church officated. Carole
