Wolfe County News - Nov. 1968 AMYX B. STAMPER TAKEN BY DEATH Amyx Boyd Stamper, 77, of Helechawa died Saturday at 9:30 p.m. in Veterans Hospital, Lexington, following a brief illness. Born April 27, 1891, in Morgan County, he was a son of the late Boyd and Jane Nickell Stamper. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by a son, Harold Boyd Stamper of Frankfort; five stepchildren, Mrs. Dave Morris of Hazel Green, Mrs. Edward Weathers of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Rennie Lykins of Spring Valley, N.Y, Hubert Lykins of Dayton, Ohio, and Rev. Chester A. Lykins of West Carrollton, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. E.I. Dawkins of Louisville; a brother, Carl Stamper of Detroit, Mich, and three grandchildren. Funeral was conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Daysboro Christian Church with Rev. Chester Lykins officiating. Burial was in Hazel Green Cemetery with Herald and Stewart Funeral Home in charge.
