Wolfe County News - March 28, 1962 RETIRED TEACHER PASSES MARCH 22 Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Faulkner Nolan, 82, widow of the late George Henry Nolan, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 22, at her home on Stepstone Road, near Mt. Sterling. She was a retired school teacher and a native of Wolfe County. She is survived by a son, Hayes Nolan, Mt. Sterling. (Hays is the husband of Lula Kash Nolan, foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Kash); three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. William Sebastian, Laeger, W. VA., Mrs. Henry C. Harris, Campton and Mrs. Sherman Taulbee, Stanton; two brothers, George Faulkner, Craigsville, W.Va. and John of Hayward, Wis. Funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. at the Easten-Richey Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling, by the Rev. Kenneth Shouse, Saturday. Then the body was brought to Wolfe County for burial in the Terrill Cemetery beside her parents, Charlotte Hollon Faulkner and George Faulkner near the old home place where she was born and reared.
