She would have married by this 1920 census, therefore she does not show up in it. She is daughter of Hiram and Mima Jane Long Blankenship. (Mima J. died in 1908 and Hiram remarried, to Mary Lacy Brooks in 1912) Nettie first married Joe Thurman and they had no children. She then married his brother, Jeff Thurman and to this marriage they had one son, Frank Thurman. After the death of Jeff, Nettie married Fred Lewis and they had no children. Frank Thurman married Pat Getz and they had 2 children, Kay and Jeff Thurman. This is my Aunt. Cause of death was Lou Gehrig disease. Wolfe County News - March 27, 1957 WOLFE NATIVE SUCCUMBS AT OHIO CLINIC Mrs. Nettie Lewis, age 60 of Hamilton, Ohio, died March 12th in the Fort Hamilton Hospital, Hamilton. She had been in ill health for about five years and seriously ill for the last two years. She was born in Hazel Green, Ky., on July 31, 1896 and had resided in Hamilton, Ohio for the past 40 years. She was a member of the High Street Christian Church, where she was active until she became ill. She belonged to the Loyal Women's Class of the Church and the Daughters of America. She took much interest in her home, especially in her grandchildren. She leaves her husband, Fred Lewis; one son, Frank Thurman Lewis, Hamilton; five brothers, Ollie Blankenship, Portsmouth, Ohio; Noah Blankenship, Piketon, Ohio; Ova Blankenship and Elva Blankenship, both of Hamilton, Ohio; and Bruce Blankenship, Hazel Green. Two sisters, Mrs. Luther Oldfield and Mrs. John Coldiron of Hazel Green; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at Hamilton.
