    3. Wolfe County News - Feb. 17, 1960 DEATH CLAIMS RAY B. MURPHY Raymond B. Murphy, 48, prominent Lexington attorney and a brother of Chas. W. Murphy of Campton and Earl Murphy and Mrs. J.C. Nickell of West Liberty, died Monday night at his home after an illness of several months of cancer. Mr. Murphy moved to Lexington from Morgan county in 1937. During World War II, he served with the United States Army, but he returned to Lexington after his discharge and received his degree from the University of Kentucky College in 1946. His wife, Mrs. Edna Wright Murphy, was associated with him in his law offices. He specialized in real estate title work. He was born at Murphy Fork in Morgan County, a son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Vest Murphy. He was a member of the Crestwood Baptist Church, Lexington. Besides his wife, survivors are four brothers; Courtney Murphy, Murphy Fork, Charles Murphy, Campton, Harry Murphy, Dayton, O., and Earl Murphy, West Liberty and two sisters, Mrs. Golden Nickell , West Liberty and Mrs. Martha Nickell, Lexington.
