Wolfe County News - Nov. 5, 1958 LESTER KING, 34 DIES OF WOUND Lester King, 34, was shot in the back in Menifee county and was killed on Oct. 25. He is survived by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo King of Bowen; three brothers, Daniel B. King, Dayton, Ohio; Elvin and W.S. King, Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Ernest E. Smith, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Claude Jones, Germantown, Ohio and Mrs. Bruce L. Vires, Mt. Sterling, Ky. Funeral services were in charge of B.F. Porter and Son Funeral Home at the Pinehill Baptist Church, Zachariah, Sunday, Oct. 26. Burial was in the Adams cemetery on Beattyville Road. Rev. John Frank Powell officiated at the funeral. Carole

My father was jailer in Menifee Co when this happened.
