Wolfe County News - Oct. 19, 1960 WES TAULBEE, VET OF SPANISH WAR, DIED AT AGE OF 86 Western Cox Taulbee, 86, died Oct. 14 at Veterans Hospital, Cincinnati, after a long illness. He was a member of the Hazel Green Christian Church and a veteran of the Spanish American War. He had been a member of the Mizpah Lodge of Masons for fifty consecutive years. He was preceded in death by his wife many years. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Anita Salyers of Clearwater, Fla.; Mrs. Lena Lane Vancleve of Irvine, Mrs. Duth (Ruth) Miller of Campton, Mrs. Esther Housemeyer of Rising Sun, Ind.; and Mrs. Regina Centers of Milton, Ky.; two sons, Robert Taulbee of Cleveland, Ohio and Henry Bryan Taulbee of Dayton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the Hazel Green Christian Church at 11 a.m. with Cox Funeral Home of Irvine in charge. Rev. Joe Nevius, pastor of the West Liberty Christian Church, delivered the sermon. Burial was in the Taulbee Cemetery at Insko with military rites by the Army Reserve Unit from Irvine, Ky. Carole
