Wolfe County News - Oct. 26, 1960 FORMER DEPUTY SHERIFF AND MAGISTRATE, BRUCE OLIVER, DIES OCT. 22 Bruce Oliver, 84, a former Wolfe County deputy sheriff and magistrate, died last Friday at a Frenchburg hospital after a long illness. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Josephine Duff Oliver; three sons, Shelby Oliver, Los Angeles, Calif; Reece Oliver, Franklin, Ohio, and C.B. Oliver, Jr., Campton; three daughters, Mrs. Naomi Chenault, Danville; Mrs. Jewell Heinzelman, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Ada Golberg, Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Tillie Cable, Campton; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Church of God by Rev. Coy Rigney. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery. Shackelford and Cox Funeral Home made arangements. Carole
