Wolfe County News - Oct. 3, 1962 ASBURY BANKS DIES SUDDENLY Asbury Banks, 80 died suddenly at his home at Gillmore, Sept. 23. A native of Wolfe County, he was a member of the Church of God. He is survived by three sons, Orville Banks of Gillmore, Lummie and Clifford Banks of Wall Lake, Mich., one daughter Mrs. Lennis Mullins of Versailles, Ind., one brother, Leck Banks of Lee City, 37 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral was at 11 a.m. Sept. 24 at Gillmore Church with Revs. Green Ratliff and Kirby Williams officiating. Burial in Banks Cemetery. Porter & son Funeral Home made arrangements. Carole
