TAULBEE Martin Hiram Taulbee, 84, of Calhoun, Ga., husband of Nettie Gibson Taulbee for 43 years, died Friday at Gordon Health Care Center in Calhoun. A native of Campton, he was the son of the late Robinson and Nettie Hollon Taulbee. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, received his master's degree in education from West Georgia College and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Other survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, June and Greg Connell of Calhoun; Patti and Steve Meilinger of Winchester and Pamela and Walter Pooley of Newport Ricey, Fla; a sister, Mary Dunn of Campton, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Martin H. Taulbee Jr.; a daughter, Alberta Mae Bradley; a brother, Shelton Taulbee; two sisters, Martha Combs and Maudie Gilbert and a grandson, Greg Taulbee Connell. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Eddie Brannon. Burial will be in the Chandler Cemetery.
