My grandmother, Mary Whisman, was tragically killed, when my mother was two. Searching for people that might help me understand my roots. I know there was a family split. Does anyone have information on Garret Rose's trial concerning Mary Whisman? Does anyone know where the Native American hertiage comes in to Garret Rose, and why his sister, and my mother were named Arizona? Does anyone have any pictures of Mary Frances, and could tell me any information on her upbringing or history on her people? Garret Hobert Rose was the son of Rosa Bell Rose and Bowen Rose. Rosa Belle Rose had to have been born around 1868. and making Garret Hobert Roses birth near 1889. I believe Mary Frances was killed at age 21. I have been so curious to have contact with someone from the Whisman side that could share any stories with me, bitter or sweet, as my mother's history! is still a mystery to me.
