Wolfe County News - Dec. 1955 RESIDENT FOUND DEAD ON HIGHWAY IN LAUREL Edgar C. Edwards, 66 was found dead in his car on Highway 15 on Laurel Saturday morning, Dec. 3. It is thought he had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. He was born August 3, 1889, the son of the late Jeff D. and Rebecca H. Rose Edwards of Stillwater. He was married to Bertha Osborne who preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted at Hearne Funeral Home, Campton, Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. J. Edward Cunningham, pastor of the Campton Baptist Church officiating. Burial in the Edwards Cemetery. He is survived by five daughters and five sons; Marie Andorski, Ft. Knox; Geneva Shurts, Edna Smith, Dorothy Hodge and Marcella Edwards all of Dayton, Ohio; General Edwards, Montana; Vernon, Dayton, Ohio; Steve, California, Alfred, Dayton, Ohio and E.C. Edwards of Louisville, also 17 grandchildren. Also five sisters; Etta Maloney, Walton, Ky; Stella Coldiron, Dry Ridge, Ky; Ethel Dickerson, Ashland, Ky.; Ella Stamper, Wiliamstown, Ky, and Golden Taulbee of Toliver, Ky and two brothers, Marion Edwards of Stillwater and Orbin of LaGrange.
