Wolfe County News - Dec. 25, 1957 LENGTHY ILLNESS CLAIMS LIFE OF WILLIAM DALTON William Austin Dalton, age 74, died Monday evening, Dec. 16th at 10:15 p.m. at his residence on Landsaw. He had been in ill health for several years and critically ill for several months. He was a member of the Landsaw Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beulah Dalton; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Sewell, Campton; Mrs. Mary Ellen Horn, Cleveland, Ohio; and Mrs. Viola Shouse, Fairborn, Ohio; eight sons, Courtney, Dayton, Ohio; Letcher and James Albert, at home, Lenox, Franklin, Ohio, Lt. Col. Elvin Dalton, Baltimore, Md.; and Elmer, Woodrow and Billy Chester, all of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Rev. John Dalton, Baptist; Rev. General Dalton, and Dave Dalton, both of Valeria; one sister, Mrs. Tillie Gibbs, Campton, and 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Landsaw Church of Christ with Rev. Francis Deaton and Rev. Walter Strong bringing the messages. Burial was in the Cockerham Cemetery in Landsaw in charge of Hearne Funeral Home. Carole
