    3. WOLFE COUNTY NEWS - Aug. 1952 HOY L. CHILDERS OF HAZEL GREEN DIED ON FRIDAY Hoy L. Childers, age believed to be somewhere between 94 and 99, died at 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 22, at his home at Hazel Green. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Adeline Childers; four sons, Richard A. of Stillwater, Jim Blaine of Lexie, Michael of Hamilton, Ohio, and Taylor of St. Louis, Mo; four daughters, Mrs. Nancy Anderson of Muskogee, Okla, Mrs. Ruth Henry of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Maggie Int of Los Angeles, Calif; and Mrs. Della Writtor of (could be Pittsburgh??), Penna. Around 30 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at his home and at the Methodist church in Hazel Green at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Willie Taylor. Burial was in the Hazel Green cemetery under the direction of Hearne Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Rollie Childers, H.E. Garmo, Hobert Childers, Herl Adams and Amos Faucett. "Uncle" Hoy, as he was lovingly called, was one of Wolfe County's oldest citizens. Carole
