Wolfe County News - April 15, 1953 OCTOGENARIAN DIES THURSDAY AT SON'S HOME Thomas Netherly died at the home of his son, James Netherly of Pine Ridge, on Thursday, April 9th; at 11 a.m at the age of almost 85. He is survived by his son, James and two daughters; Mrs. Candar Scherrie of Middletown, Ohio, and Mrs. Anna Preeman of North Kenova, Ohio; two brothers; Nelson of Trenton, O., and Newt of Cleveland, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F.E. Mosley on Saturday at the Pine Ridge Methodist Church at 1 o'clock; Hearne Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Burial followed in the Evans Cemetery at Campton. Mr. Netherly had been a member of the Methodist church for many years. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Carole
