Wolfe County News - Feb. 29, 1956 FUNERAL RITES ARE HELD FOR C.B. CARSON Charlie H. Carson, 64, died in the Veterans Hospital, Louisville, on Tuesday, February 21. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Stewart Carson, of Carlisle, and three daughters, Miss Mildred Joyce Carson, Mrs. Carrie Jollie all of Carlisle and four sons, Robert Carson, Morefield, Charles Carson Jr., and Rex and Omer Carson, all of Carlisle. Four sisters also survive, Mrs. Maude Dunn, Mrs. Bertha Taulbee, Mrs. Alice Nickell, all of Lexie and Mrs. Bell Taulbee of Campton. One brother, G.W. Carson of Cincinnati. The body was brought to the Hearne Funeral Home, Campton, and kept until Wednesday evening when it was taken to the home of the deceased's sister, Mrs. Maude Dunn of Lexie, and kept until time for the funeral. The funeral was held in the Lacy Creek church at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23 with Rev. John Dalton officiating. Burial was in the Carson Cemetery under the direction of Hearne Funeral Home.
