    3. Wolfe County News - August 22, 1956 LENGTHY ILLNESS CLAIMS LIFE OF CHARLIE ROSE Charlie M. Rose, 72, son of the late John M. Rose and Elizabeth Swango Rose died at his home at Buena Vista, KY., on Tuesday, August 14th. He had been ill for along time. He was a retired stock dealer and business man of Lexington. He was a member of the Arlington Christian Church. He was a past president of the Hazel Green Academy Former Students Association and the only president who was unable to attend the annual Homecoming this year. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Jewel Rose, Buena Vista; two daughters, Mrs. Maurine Robinson, Lexington; and Mrs. Mildred Rappert, Lexington; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; also a sister, Mrs. Carrie Mize, Hazel Green; other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted in Lexington, Thursday, August 16th by the pastor of his church and burial was in the Winchester Cemetery by the side of an infant son. Attending the funeral from Hazel Green were his sister, Mrs. Carl Mize; Mrs. Inda Center, Rev. Daniel J. Howard and James Stewart. Carole
