    3. Wolfe County News - Oct. 12, 1955 LENGTHY ILLNESS CLAIMS LIFE OF ALLEN LINDON Allen Lindon, 83, died at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 7 at his home in Ohio following a long illness. Mr. Lindon is a retired farmer going to Middletown, Ohio from Charleston, Ill, about 25 years ago. He was formerly of Wolfe County being reared on Lacy Creek in Wolfe County. Surviving are his wife; Mae, three sons, William, Seldon and Allen all of Middletown; two daughters Mrs. Robert Mattingly and Mrs. Elsie Williams also of Middletown, 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Sam of Hazard and Robert of Mt. Sterling and a sister, Mrs. Betsy Lykins, Hazard, Kentucky. Attending the funeral in Middletown, Ohio, Saturday from here was Sterling Lindon, his nephew, also his brother, a Sam from Hazard and his brother Robert of Mt. Sterling. All was known in Wolfe. Burial was in Humboldt, Ill at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Carole
