JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON GERALD CULBERTSON FROM DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 1/4/07. Gerald Culbertson, Age 88, died January 2, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born Feb. 18, 1918 in Valeria, KY to parents James H. and Mary Lou Culbertson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue; his parents; three brothers, Marvin, Claude and Clyde; five sisters, June Sorrell, Eliza Lawson, Virgie Stamper, Verna Little and Nora Kash. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of 66 years; a son, Robert; grandchildren, Travis, Amanda, Jessica and Emily; a great-granddaughter, Lauren; sister, Gladys Helton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sorely missed. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He willed his body to Wright State University. There will be no services as requested. Interment will be at the Veteran's National Cemetery at the V.A. Center.
