Wolfe County News - June 15, 1973 MR. HOLBROOK, FORMERLY OF WOLFE CO. DIES Howard Holbrook, Jr. 62, of Somerset, Ky., and formerly of Wolfe County, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Somerset Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Wolfe County. A retired coal miner, and a member of the Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Vitatoe Holbrook, Somerset, three sons, Hubert Holbrook, Hyden, Stanley Holbrook of Lexington, and Tim Holbrook, Somerset, four daughters, Mrs. Jackie Amburgy, and Mrs. Gale Childers, both of Olympia, Washington, Mrs. Norma Brown of Ashland, and Mrs. Sharon Hinkle, Blowing Rock, North Carolina; three brothers, Jess Holbrook of Middletown, Ohio, Wilson Holbrook, Miamisburg, Ohio, and Robert Lee Holbrook Bales of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and one sister, Mrs. Golden Rose, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 8 at the hazel green Christian Church with Rev. Wardie Craft officiating. Burial was in the Hazel Green Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Porter and son Funeral Home, Campton. Carole
