Norma-- What year was this courthouse fire--I am assuming it was the Wolfe County Courthouse. Bess

Bess, It was in the Oct. 13, 1886 Hazel Green newspaper. It was in Jackson Ky., so I'm sort of figuring it was Breathitt Co. It doesn't name the exact county. Hi everyone, I just reread what I typed yesterday about the courthouse fire, and see I put Jackson Co., instead of JACKSON, KY.!! Sorry about the error. It just says Jackson, Ky. I am assuming it was Breathitt Co. and not Jackson Co.? Am I right in that assumption? There were several fires in Jackson, Ky through the years. Each fire destroyed most of the town. There is a website that is about Jackson that has a lot of info on the fires. I dont' remember the address though. YOu could just put Jackson Kentucky in the search engine. I also wanted to say that I LOVE reading about the Hazel Green Herald!!!
