Wolfe County News - Feb. 16, 1973 ESAU J. KING, WOLFE NATIVE, PASSES FEB. 9 Esau J. King, 63, died Feb. 9 at the National Nursing Home, Lexington, after an illness of ten years. He was a native of Wolfe County and a member of the Church of God. Survivors are his wife, Lucy, three sons, Hiram and Henry of Lexington, and Courtney, of Middletown, Ohio; five daughters, Mrs. Nellie Rust, Miss Christine King, and Mrs. Stella Hollon of Lexington, Mrs. Edith Bryant of Campton, and Mrs. Marie Osborne, Wheelright; four sisters, Golden, Sarah, and Polly King, and Mrs. Lizzie Wilder; 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Moody officiating. Burial was in the Chambers Cemetery at Baptist. Carole
