PUCKETT, 65 Mrs. Dovie Mae Puckett, 65 of Route 1 Hazel green died at 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington following a sudden illness. Born April 11, 1906, at Helechawa, she was a daughter of the late Milt and Patsy Ritchie Poe. Mrs. Puckett is survived by her husband, Buford Puckett of Route 1 Hazel Green; three sons, James Puckett of Ruth, Nev., Arthur Puckett of Fairborn, Ohio, and Rodney Puckett of Cincinnati; seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Banks of Route 1, Jackson, Ky., Mrs. Ethel Dunn and Mrs. Ruth Davis, both of Marion, Ohio, Mrs. Bertha Howard of Loveland, Ohio, Mrs. Nora Sparks of Cincinnati, Mrs. Alice Hurt of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Dorothy Perkins of Corina, Calif.: 30 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral was conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14 at the old Grassy Christian Church by Rev. Forrest Bailey. Burial was in the old Grassy Cemetery with arrangements by Herald and Stewart Funeral Home.
