Wolfe County News - June 9, 1972 MRS. CORA BANKS DIES IN CLARK Mrs. Cora Lee Banks, age 72, died early Wednesday, May 31, at Glenway Nursing Home, Winchester, after a long illness. A native of Wolfe County, she had lived at Mary, all her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are three sons, Sammie Banks, West Carrollton, Ohio, Lester Banks, New Lebanon, Ohio and Carl Banks, Lexington; five daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Taylor, Trenton, Ohio, Mrs. Fred Pelfrey, Ray, Ohio, Mrs. Raymond Lutes of Mary, Mrs. Tom Blevins of Carlisle, Ohio, and Mrs. Bob Jones, Miamisburg, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Sallie Banks, Bethany, Mrs. Vina Shackelford of Beattyville, Mrs. Mary Noble and Mrs. Carrie Whisman, Cincinnati; one brother, Willie Little of Campton, and 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. June 2, at Campton Baptist Church with Rev. Oney Banks officiating. Burial was in the Taulbee Cemetery at Mary, with Shackelford Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were grandsons. Carole
