Clay City Times - March 7, 1940 DR. CENTER DIES AT CAMPTON Dr. G.M. Center, 77, died at his home in Campton, at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 5th, 1940, following an illness of eight months. Funeral at the Campton Baptist Church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock by the Rev. Walters, of Lexington; burial in the Hazel Green Cemetery. Dr. Center was a minister of the Baptist Church for many years. He was a widely known and a well-beloved Christian worker. He had often preached in Powell County. Surviving are his widow, four daughters, two sons, and three brothers, Hearne-Everman had charge of funeral arrangements. Carole
