Wolfe County News - Jan. 23, 1970 WOLFE NATIVE DIES AT HAZARD Albert Alexander, Jr. of Perry County, called his cousin, Wilson Alexander, Campton, on Monday, to inform him of the death of his mother, Mrs. Dovie Alexander, widow of Albert Alexander. On Monday afternoon, Roger Alexander and Junior Alexander visited Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Alexander, and also made arrangements for their mother's burial in Evans Cemetery. Mrs. Dovie Reynolds Alexander, 76, died in Appalachian Regional Hospital, Hazard. She had been in ill health for several years, but had been in the hospital only a few days. She was a native of Wolfe County, a retired school-teacher, having taught in the Wolfe County school system, and in Perry County. The family had lived in the Tar Ridge and Rogers communities. She was a member of the Lothair Methodist Church and the Vicco Order of Eastern Star. Other survivors are several grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Delphia McQuinn, Rogers; a brother, Bev Reynolds, Hazard, and several nieces and nephews. She was widely related in Wolfe County. A son, Alden Alexander were held at the Lothair Presbyterian Church at noon Thursday. Burial was at 2:00 p.m. in Evans Cemetery, Campton. Carole
