Wolfe County News - April 2, 1971 LONEY CENTERS WOLFE NATIVE PASSES IN ILL. Loney Centers, 63, of Charleston, Ill., died at 12:55 p.m. Sunday, arch 21, in his home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, in Caudill-King Funeral Home, Charleston. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston. Mr. Centers was born Aug. 22, 1907, in Wolfe County, Ky., the son of Taylor and Lillie Maloney Centers. He married Lillie Ellen Day in 1928 in Hazel Green, Ky. She survives. Besides his widow, he leaves his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Centers of Madison, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. William (Eugenia Pendergast of Hindsboro; three brothers, Clinton, Ellis and Scottie Joe, all of Madison; seven sisters, Mrs. Vada Thacker of Leeco, Ky., Mrs. Juanita Smith, Mrs. Wanda Berkhard; and Mrs. Betty Wright, all of Madison, Mrs. Norma Wiloughby of Aurora, Ind., and Mrs. Fay Kincaid and Mrs. Jewell Holland, both of Batavia, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
