Wolfe County News - Oct. 8, 1971 SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. ELY WOLFE NATIVE Mable May Ely, 60, died at 10:31 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Stella May Shackelford and the late Andrew C. Ely. She was a native of Wolfe County but had made her home in Ohio for a number of years. Other survivors besides her mother include one son, Troy C. Ely, Gilmore, two daughters, Mrs. Evanell Perit, Gilmore, and Mrs. Angeline Wadsworth, St. Johns, Mich.; two brothers, Oran Ely and Osa Ely; five sisters, Mrs. Evalee Robinson, and Mrs. Ruby Scott, both of Ypsilanti, Mich., Mrs. Irene Mead, Dewitt, Mich., Mrs. Anne Perkins of California, and Mrs. Joyce Leach, Dayton, Ohio and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the Gilmore Church of God by Rev. Green Ratliff. Burial was in the Hazel Green Cemetery.
