    3. On viewing these newspapers, I find there was a column from Rogers, Kentucky (Wolfe County) in about every paper. A good many of the deaths were written in these columns, and not in obit form. Clay City Times - Oct. 3, 1940 Rogers Lowell Gibson, the 3 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Gibson, of Virginia, died Sept. 6 and was brought back here and buried in the Tarridge cemetery. James Moore, who has been sick for several years, died at his home Sept. 11. He told his wife he was prepared to die and was willing and ready to go. Burial was in the family cemetery on Holly near his former home. Surviving are his wife and children. Mrs. Edgar King and Mrs. Frank King, of this place, are his daughters. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Combs, of Glencairn, died Sept. 15 and was buried near here. Mrs. Eula Adams died at her home here Sept. 16. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Ed Adams; an infant son; father, Clay Brewer; stepmother, five sisters, five brothers; one stepsister; one half sister; two half brothers. Interment was in the Tarridge Cemetery. Revs T.R. Woodford and Ora Collier conducted the funeral services which were attended by a large crowd.
