Wolfe County News - Sept. 17, 1971 OLA H. MILLER OF VORTEX DIES FRIDAY, SEPT. 10 Ola H. Miller, 84, of Vortex died at 11:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at the Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, following an illness of a few months; duration. He was a Wolfe County native, a farmer, and a former Wolfe county school teacher and a civil engineer. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Lura Carroll Miller of Vortex; a son, William R. Miller of Buffalo, N.Y.: a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Miller Strunk of Tazewell, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Edna Miller Cecil of Hazel Green, and two grandchildren, J. Michael Miller, a student at the University of Kentucky, and Miss Deborah C. Miller of Buffalo, N.Y. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at the Porter and Son Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Willie Taylor. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery at Campton with arrangements by Porter and Son. Carole
