ROSE, 73, Wolfe Native, died in Ashland John Nelson Rose, 73, of Ashland, and a native of Wolfe County, died Friday in an Ashland hospital after an illness of one year. Born July 11, 1898, in Hazel Green, he was a son of the late Stephen S. and Rosa Little Rose. He was a retired grocer and had been a resident of Ashland for 26 years, moving here from Charleston, W.VA. He was a member of the Hazel Green Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Lillian McClure Rose; a daughter, Mrs. Nell Bryant of Lexington; four brothers, Jim Rose of Cincinnati, Herbert Rose of Hazel Green, Steve Rose of Campton, and Charles Rose of Lexington; three sisters, Mrs. Arch Johnson of Hazel Green, Mrs. Graden Walter of West Liberty, and Mrs. Albert Elkins of Lexington; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lazear Funeral Home by Rev. Harley Johnson and Rev. B.D. Nesbitt. Burial was in the Ashland Cemetery. Carole
