I put a few remarks in. The Lexington Herald, Lexington Kentucky, Thursday, January 12, 1928 Mrs. Margaret Ellen Brewer, 46, of Rogers, Kentucky, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, yesterday morning. She was the daughter of Granville and Jane Sparks Spencer. She is survived by her husband, H. C. Brewer and eleven children. They are Oaklet, Elberton, Granville, Clayton, and James Brewer, and Mrs. Minnie Baker, Mrs. Lizzie Adams, Mrs Eddie Watkins, Misses Grace, Elle, and Eula Marie Brewer. The body was removed by W. R. Milward. It will be taken to Rogers, Kentucky for burial. Margaret Ellen's parents were Granville Henderson Spencer s/o Franklin Marsh and Louisa Wyatt Spencer. Her husband was Henry Clay Brewer s/o George Washington and Caroline King Brewer. Her sons were Oakley Morline, Elberton Monroe, Granville Henderson [Granville died in the Battle of the Bulge WWII], Elmer Clayton, and James Verl Brewer. Her daughters were Arminta Ellen who married Lewis Greenberry Baker, America Elizabeth who married John D. Adams, Etta who married James Monroe Watkins, Grace who married Alvah E. Creech, Ella Mae who married Woodrow Bush, and Eula Merrill who married Donald Adams-s/o Jessie Watson and Mary Jane Spencer Adams. Margaret Ellen's buried on Tarr Ridge at the old Spencer Cemetery, now called the Tarr Ridge Cemetery. Sincerely, Shirley Ann Brewer
