Wolfe County News - Aug. 27, 1971 RAY HOLLON, 53, OF HAZEL GREEN DIES SUDDENLY Ray Hollon, 53, of Hazel Green died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at his job on the Wolfe County High School campus at Campton Friday, Aug. 13. He was a farmer and was employed by the Middle Kentucky River Development Council at Jackson. Born Feb. 27, 1918, in Wolfe County, he was a son of Mrs. Isabelle King of Campton and the late John Hollon. Survivors include his mother; his wife, Janie Trent Hollon of Hazel Green; six daughters, Mrs. Faye Stevenson of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Lillie Mae Shelton of Cincinnati, Mrs. Elizabeth Gilbert of Campton, Route 1, Mrs. Juanita Ratliff of Hazel Green, Linda Sue Phipps of Daysboro, and Phyllis Hollon of Winchester; three sons, ____ Hollon of Winchester, ___ and David Hollon at home. Two sisters, Myrtle King of Campton and Geneva Taulbee of Indiana, and one half-brother, Bill Hollon of Campton. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hazel Green Methodist Church by Rev. B. May and Rev. Forest Bailey. Burial was at Bear Pen in Wolfe County under the direction of Herald and Stewart Funeral Home. Carole
