Wolfe County News - Aug. 13, 1971 ELIZA CARROLL DIES AUGUST 2 Mrs. Eliza Carroll, 78, died suddenly at her home on the Boothe Ridge Aug. 2. She was a native and lifelong resident of Wolfe County. Survivors are her husband, S.B. (Samp) Carroll; three sons, Virgil Carroll of Route 2 Beattyville; Floyd Carroll, Alexandria, Ky., and Duluth Carroll, Middletown, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Pence of Germantown, Ohio; one brother, Edd Payne, Monticello, Ind. and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held August 4 in the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grover Craft and Rev. Omar Spencer officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery on Big Andy Ridge. Carole
