Sterling died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 in Mary Chiles Hospital, Mt. Sterling, after a long illness. She was the widow of Isaac S. Miller, a native of Holly Creek and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are four sons, Charles D., John Alvis, and Herbert Miller of Campton and Lester Miller of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Garnett Browne of Lexington and Mrs. Amanda Oldfield of Mt. Sterling; 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Campton Methodist Church by Rev. Glenn L. Courts and Rev. C.L. Newkirk. Burial in the Miller Cemetery at Campton. Shackelford Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The Bonnie Oldfield mentioned in Charles' obit is Amanda Carolyn Miller. Garnett's first husband was Nathan Pelfrey.
