Jackson Times - I forgot to get the date or year on this one, but think it was 1918 Miss Alice B. Combs of Jackson and Roy R. May, of near Hazel Green were married Christmas evening at 7 o'clock at the residence of Brother S.H. Pollitt and left on the 10 o'clock train Wednesday morning for Louisville and other points. Mr. May had been a successful salesman for Wilson and Company of Cincinnati, Ohio for the past four years, but is now in the service for Uncle Sam and will return to Camp Taylor Jan. 1st to answer roll call while the happy but lonely bride returns to Jackson to resume her position as stenographer in the Jackson Real Estate and Insurance Company's office where she has been employed for several years where she has given a service that must have been satisfactory. She is the eldest of three lovely daughters of Mr. and Mrs. N.B. Combs and is related to many of the best people in the county. The groom is a fine looking young man and ought to make a good husband and a success of whatever he undertakes. Carole
